Halloween Movies for Kids

I put together this list of what I think are the best halloween family movies. These are Halloween movies that I’ve watched with my children who are under the age of 13. Many of these Halloween movies will be featured on Disney’s Freefrom channel this season.

I divided it into appropriate ages including preschoolers to elementary school ages. It can work as a great movie list of Halloween movies for tweens too!

Best Halloween family movies

I was excited to see that the channel Freeform jumped from 13 nights to 31 nights of Halloween movies this year.  Are you kids excited about watching their Halloween movies in October? The list was just published!

Here’s the featured scheduled below.

As you read through the Halloween movie schedule, keep in mind that the target age group for this television channel is ages 14-34 so there will be quite a few movies available that will not be age appropriate for your little ones.

A few are even rated R, which are usually the last night showings for the older crowd. Quite frankly several of the upcoming movies aren’t directly related to Halloween either.

I do see a few of our family’s favorites like Hotel TransylvaniaHocus Pocus and Monsters, Inc. and more. We’re going to put together our own 31 Days of Halloween Fun.  Will you join us?

Set those DVRs! Get your Tivos ready. And find your age appropriate Halloween movie as we kick of this fun season of imagination with your child.

Keep in mind you can also just find many of the Best Halloween movies on netflix or on Amazon prime video. If you can’t watch via cable, no worries — 31 Nights of Halloween can also be streamed via Freeform on Hulu.

Join along starting on October 1 and all the way through to October 31 for movie nights filled with Kids Halloween Movies!
